Lam Research Corporation's proxy statement for its 2026 annual meeting, filed September 24, 2026, lists "Cybersecurity Experience" as one of ten named skills in its director skills matrix and marks four of its ten nominees against it: Eric K. Brandt, Bethany J. Mayer, Jyoti K. Mehra and Board Chair Abhijit Y. Talwalkar.

Brandt, the former Executive Vice President and CFO of Broadcom Corporation and the audit committee chair since 2024, is credited with "cybersecurity expertise" among his qualifications; the filing notes he completed the NYU Law – Nasdaq Cyber Scholar Program and the U.S. Secret Service and National Association of Corporate Directors Cybersecurity Program. He also sits on Nutanix's board and security and privacy committee, a company already on this record for its own six cybersecurity-tagged directors.

Mayer, a director since 2019, holds an M.S. in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy from New York University; the filing cites her operational roles at companies in "networks, network management, servers, security solutions, cybersecurity, and internet technology," including as President and CEO of Ixia and in networking and security roles at Hewlett-Packard.

Mehra, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Gilead Sciences and chair of Lam's compensation and human resources committee, is credited with "cybersecurity experience" among her qualifications, alongside her human-capital and talent-development background; the filing gives no further detail on the cybersecurity basis.

Talwalkar, the board chair since 2011 and former President and CEO of LSI Corporation, is likewise credited with "cybersecurity expertise" among his qualifications, alongside his semiconductor-industry and board-governance experience; the filing again gives no separate explanation of the credential's basis.

No SEC rule requires naming a director's cybersecurity background this way: a 2022 proposal to add Item 407(j) of Regulation S-K was dropped from the SEC's final 2023 cybersecurity-disclosure rule. Lam Research's proxy does it for four of its directors. See the board cybersecurity-expertise record for the others, with no comparison or ranking implied.
