Astera Labs' annual report for fiscal year 2025 states that its chief executive, not a technology or security executive, is filling the CISO seat while the company looks for a permanent replacement.

"Our Chief Executive Officer is currently serving as interim Chief Information Security Officer ('CISO') while we conduct a search for a successor following the departure of our CISO in January 2026," the filing states.

The filing's signature page names Jitendra Mohan, Astera Labs' Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, as the officer signing the report.
