Interim and acting CISO record

FactSet: an acting CISO ran information security through fiscal 2024

FactSet's fiscal 2024 10-K described a current acting CISO; its fiscal 2025 10-K, filed a year later, drops the word 'acting' for the same role.

FactSet's 10-K for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2024 described an acting, rather than permanent, CISO running its information security program.

"Our current acting CISO has a graduate degree in computer engineering and has worked in cybersecurity for over a decade," that filing states, adding that the acting CISO reports to the Chief Technology Officer, a member of FactSet's Executive Leadership Team.

A year later, in the 10-K for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2025 (filed October 22, 2025), FactSet's equivalent disclosure describes a dedicated Chief Information Security Officer with the same graduate degree in computer engineering, now credited with over two decades of cybersecurity experience rather than over a decade — the acting status named in the 2024 filing has since resolved. FactSet does not name the CISO in either filing.

See the interim and acting CISO record for other companies naming a temporary security leader in an SEC filing, with no comparison or ranking implied.
