Truist Financial's 10-K describes its Chief Information Officer taking on the CISO's duties after the prior CISO's exit, without naming either executive.

"Following the departure of our CISO in November 2024, the CIO is serving as our interim CISO while our search for a permanent CISO continues," the filing states.

The filing adds that the CIO's direct reports average more than 20 years of experience in technology management and information security at financial institutions, and that the interim CISO provides updates at every Enterprise Risk Committee meeting on cybersecurity and information-security risk, and reports regularly to the Board's risk committee. Truist's 10-K does not name either the departed CISO or the CIO serving in the interim role.

See the interim and acting CISO record for other companies naming a temporary security leader in an SEC filing, with no comparison or ranking implied.
