Apurva Dhanwantri is the SVP, Chief Information Security Officer of Cornerstone OnDemand.

Career path

In 2024, Cornerstone OnDemand was named a winner of the CSO Awards, and the company's announcement identified Dhanwantri as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Cornerstone's security program was separately honored with a CSO Award for Excellence in Cybersecurity, with company materials describing her at that time as SVP, Chief Information Security Officer.

In March 2026, Cornerstone announced it had achieved Authority to Operate at the Defense Information Systems Agency's Impact Level 4, and Dhanwantri was quoted in the release in her role as Chief Information Security Officer.

Cornerstone also announced that it had achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification, the global standard for responsible AI, with Dhanwantri again cited in the announcement as SVP, Chief Information Security Officer.

Security and AI governance remit

Dhanwantri's public statements center on tying Cornerstone's security and compliance program to the company's expansion into AI-driven workforce tools, including its Galaxy platform used by federal agencies.

On the ISO 42001 certification, she said the company's AI work is managed under clear policies and objectives intended to protect customers while supporting continued product development.

Discussing the DISA IL4 authorization, she said, "Organizations around the world trust us to operate at the highest levels of security and safety," and described the milestone as reflecting readiness to operate in a demanding security environment while meeting compliance standards for federal agencies.

She has also framed Cornerstone's security posture as central to customer trust, noting that the CSO Award recognition reinforces the perception of Cornerstone as a reliable partner for protecting customer data and people.
