Colin Anderson is the Chief Information Security Officer of Dayforce, a role in which he oversees the company's cybersecurity, technology risk management, and compliance functions.

Career path

Anderson began his technology career in network engineering for Bank of America Capital Markets, where he was responsible for providing full availability for the firm's North and South American equity trading floors. He later led information security at Commerce One before moving into his first chief information security officer post at Safeway, the North American grocery chain. At Levi Strauss & Co., Anderson served as Vice President of Information Technology and Global Chief Information Security Officer, managing an international team covering information risk management, regulatory compliance, and IT enterprise risk management for the global apparel retailer, which recorded $5 billion in annual sales across more than 2,700 company-owned and franchise retail locations in 42 countries. A Dayforce blog post on payroll diversion fraud also identifies him as Ceridian's Chief Information Security Officer, describing how he explained the mechanics of direct deposit scams and ways to prevent them. Anderson brings more than 25 years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, compliance, network engineering, information systems, and business resiliency to his current role at Dayforce.

Guidance on workforce security threats

In a Dayforce post titled Stay alert: Safeguarding against employee impersonation and HR system credential compromise, aimed at Australian customers, Anderson warned about the risks of employee impersonation and credential compromise targeting HR systems, urging vigilance against calls impersonating staff and attempts to steal login credentials. His writing for Dayforce has also covered payroll diversion fraud, in a piece titled Payroll diversion fraud: Preventing a direct deposit scam, which he describes as a serious security threat affecting direct deposit systems. Beyond security threat guidance, Anderson's contributions to the Dayforce blog span topics including AI at Dayforce, Strategic Workforce Planning, and the Dayforce Suite.
