Career path

Before joining Transact, Shaw served as Chief Information Security Officer at UCLA, where he led a team covering identity and access management, regulatory compliance, incident response, education and awareness, and coordinated campus-wide cybersecurity technologies.

He had earlier held CISO positions at the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the University of Southern California, Purdue University, and the State of Ohio.

Transact announced Shaw's appointment as CISO on May 9, 2023, alongside two other senior-level additions to its executive leadership team, with all three reporting to Transact CEO Nancy Langer.
