Career path

Before joining Nasuni, Elyse Gunn served as Director of Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance at Pax8 and Quickbase. In that role she led product security programs, developed AI governance frameworks, and built security-by-design cultures. She drove certifications including ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 1, SOC 2, and Tx-RAMP. In June 2025, Nasuni announced her appointment as Chief Information Security Officer alongside new Chief People Officer and Chief Information Officer hires, following the company's earlier appointment of Sam King as Chief Executive Officer. The appointment was presented as part of a broader strengthening of Nasuni's executive leadership team, which also added Alison Bayiates as Chief People Officer and Dalan Winbush as Chief Information Officer.

Remit at Nasuni

Gunn leads Nasuni's global security and compliance function, encompassing information security operations, product security, AI governance, and regulatory alignment. Nasuni's chief executive, Sam King, said the incoming executives, including Gunn, would "play a pivotal role in driving our strategy forward, from technological innovation and enterprise security to talent development at a global scale," describing the hires as part of the company's next phase of growth. Nasuni describes itself as a unified file data platform for enterprises managing unstructured data, combining storage and data services in a hybrid cloud model. Gunn joined the company with what Nasuni describes as deep expertise in security and compliance leadership for SaaS businesses. Nasuni's leadership page states that the company's leadership team brings deep expertise and experience growing technology companies from early stage to billion-dollar-plus valuations.
