Kyle Draisey is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Head of Cybersecurity of Sagent, appointed in May 2025. In the role he leads cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operations for the company as it deploys its Dara platform to U.S. mortgage servicers.
Career path
Before joining Sagent, Draisey served as an Army Intelligence Officer for nearly 15 years, supporting missions across the Middle East and Africa. Following a medical retirement from service, he became Senior Technical Director – Head of Cyber and Intelligence at BAE Systems, a multinational aerospace and technology company, where he led the development and implementation of security and mission solutions for defense and intelligence customers around the world. For his work in zero trust capability development and cyber mission enablement, he was named one of WashingtonExec's Top National Security Executives to Watch in 2024. Sagent announced his appointment as CISO and Head of Cybersecurity on May 29, 2025.
Remit at Sagent
Draisey's role covers cybersecurity for a platform that powers more than $2 trillion in mortgage servicing portfolios for U.S. servicers. He has described his mandate as operationalizing Sagent's cybersecurity to safeguard digital infrastructure and customer data while aligning security posture with innovation and growth. "I was drawn to Sagent's already-strong cybersecurity culture, which I'm honored to help make stronger as we power over $2 trillion in portfolios for U.S. mortgage servicers," said Draisey. He has also said data security is the company's top corporate threat, given the range of criminal and nation-state advanced persistent threat groups that target financial services.
Public talks and commentary
Draisey appeared on the Cyber Business Podcast with Matthew Connor to discuss how Sagent builds a threat-informed cyber strategy for its cloud-native servicing platform, emphasizing a defense posture that prioritizes real-world attack vectors, speed, and integrated response over compliance checkboxes. In an interview with Scotsman Guide, he described mortgage servicing technology as critical infrastructure comparable to the power grid or air traffic control systems, and warned that AI is advancing attacker capabilities faster than defenses can keep pace. He has called for an industry-wide AI information-sharing effort to bring competitors, cybersecurity teams, and intelligence partners together to share threats, defenses, and best practices as a way to raise collective resilience.
