Remit and approach
At Astera Labs, Moody is responsible for protecting the company's products, customers and infrastructure as it scales its position in AI connectivity. He describes security as a function that should enable a business to thrive rather than slow it, and says the discipline works best when woven into how a company designs, builds and operates. Across more than two and a half decades of leadership, he has worked in security operations, risk management, security engineering, fraud prevention, forensics and threat intelligence, scaling security functions through hyper-growth, initial public offerings and enterprise transformation. He has also advised several security and technology startup companies and has served as an executive sponsor for employee resource groups and women-in-technology initiatives. While at Palo Alto Networks, his profile was featured among RSA Conference experts, describing him as a technology executive focused on information security thought leadership. On joining Alteryx, Moody said, "I am excited and honored to be part of a mission to help companies democratize analytics."
