Career path
Efstratopoulou joined Options in April 2021, bringing nearly a decade of experience from DXC Technologies, HPE, and Fixnetix.
At Fixnetix, she held the Chief Information Security Officer title, leading the company to SOC2 accreditation and developing and coordinating delivery of its Managed Security Services offering.
Options has separately described her tenure at the firm as beginning in October 2021, following the company's acquisition of the Fixnetix division from DXC, where she had served as Chief Security Officer.
In October 2021, Options named her Chief Risk Officer and the Principal leading the firm's Security as a Service business, giving her responsibility for Options' Managed Security solutions across all product lines.
In that role she was tasked with providing clients a tailored approach to enhancing their security profile through risk and compliance management against both Options' and industry-standard regulatory frameworks.
She also served as Chief Security Officer at Options.
In February 2024, Options combined its Chief Risk Officer and Chief Security Officer functions and named Efstratopoulou Chief Information Security Officer, a change the company said reflected its strategic shift toward a risk-driven security approach.
Remit and public statements
As CISO, Efstratopoulou has described her goal as moving security from being perceived as a blocker to an enabler, by aligning security decisions with the business's real and perceived risks. She has said this approach is intended to enhance collaboration and communication while streamlining decision-making on resource allocation and budgeting. "I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in my new role as CISO," she said on her appointment.
