Career path

Before joining Brown & Brown, Burch served as senior vice president and chief information security officer for Fidelity National Financial, where he was responsible for developing and managing the company's global information security programs across its fintech and insurance subsidiaries.

In June 2023, Brown & Brown named Burch chief information security officer at the same time it appointed Barry Hensley as the company's first chief security officer.

Both executives were based at Brown & Brown's Beach Street Campus in Daytona Beach, Florida.
