Ryan Weeks

Ryan Weeks is the Chief Information Security Officer of Vimeo, appointed in December 2024. He leads Vimeo's security, compliance, and risk management functions.

Career path

Weeks spent 11 years at FactSet Research Systems securing enterprise applications, systems, and sensitive customer financial data, where he managed all facets of the company's global information security program.

He then served as Chief Information Security Officer at Datto, Inc. for over six years, building the company's security program from the ground up. In that role he directed and managed Datto's information security program, developed and implemented its information security strategy, managed risk and compliance, and enforced security policies across the organization.

Vimeo appointed Weeks as CISO effective immediately in December 2024, with Philip Moyer, Vimeo's CEO, citing his "extensive experience in building high-grade security platforms across industries."

Ransomware work and public commentary

While at Datto, Weeks contributed to cybersecurity education initiatives and worked with the Ransomware Task Force to help identify and advance recommendations for reducing ransomware risk. In a February 2021 interview with ISMG's BankInfoSecurity, he discussed Datto's role in the Ransomware Task Force and findings from a Global Ransomware Report, and addressed a surge in destructive ransomware attacks.

Credentials

Weeks holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Ithaca College and an M.S. in Information Assurance from Northeastern University, and holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications.
