Scott Metro is the Chief Technology Officer of Hazeltree, where he oversees the company's platform, engineering and product innovation work. He previously served as Hazeltree's Chief Information Security Officer, a role the company announced in November 2023 to lead its cybersecurity strategy.

Career path

Before joining Hazeltree, Metro spent 26 years at PwC, working across the firm's external audit practice and its risk and regulatory consulting practice.
He became a partner in PwC's Cyber, Risk and Regulatory practice and led the firm's global Financial Services Risk and Compliance Transformation Campaign.
At PwC he also led the Financial Services Trust and Transparency Solutions practice for the United States, a group that performed independent controls attestations such as SOC 1 and SOC 2 for some of the largest U.S. financial institutions, including those with overseas operations. He directly assisted large financial services clients in building their second line of defense compliance programs. Earlier in his career, Metro held technology or compliance roles at Chase Manhattan Bank, Toyo Trust & Banking, later acquired by MUFG, and Quantra Corporation, later acquired by SS&C.
Metro retired from PwC before joining Hazeltree as CISO in November 2023, reporting to Hazeltree Chief Technology Officer Richard Winter and based in New York.
As CISO, he was tasked with developing Hazeltree's information security program, securing additional industry-endorsed certifications for its platform, and protecting the organization's assets, applications, systems and technology while advancing business outcomes.
He has since moved into the Chief Technology Officer role at Hazeltree, drawing on expertise in system architecture, software development and cloud modernization.
