Brian Cayer

Career path

Before joining Keck Medicine of USC, Cayer served as Chief Information Security Officer of Tufts Medicine, based in Burlington, Massachusetts, where he helped transform the health system's cybersecurity program through the creation of a centralized model. During his time at Tufts Medicine, he helped lead the system's migration to Epic, making it the first healthcare system to host Epic on Amazon Web Services. While at Tufts Medicine, Cayer said, "My organization is HITRUST-certified," describing the certification standard his health system had adopted.
