Garo Doudian

Garo Doudian is the Chief Information and Security Officer (CIO/CISO) of NextGen Healthcare, appointed in May 2024.

Career path

Before joining NextGen Healthcare, Doudian served as senior vice president and CISO for Risk Management Solutions, part of Moody's Analytics, where he was directly responsible for the global information security program, including development security and operations, product security, cloud engineering, compliance, and business continuity.
He also held CISO and other cybersecurity leadership roles at Green Dot Corporation, Paramount Pictures, and Herbalife International, working across high-scale SaaS, FinTech, and M&A environments.
Doudian brings more than two decades of information security and infrastructure leadership experience.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UCLA and holds CISSP and CISM certifications.

Current remit

At NextGen Healthcare, Doudian leads the development, implementation and enforcement of the company's information systems and security program to protect critical data and information.
He oversees the company's security strategy to safeguard client and employee data.

Public talks and published work

In July 2025, Doudian authored a NextGen Healthcare blog post on proactive healthcare cybersecurity strategies for 2025 and beyond. The post recapped a discussion among leaders from NextGen Healthcare, Tevora, and Stellarus on preparing for emerging threats and shifting policy and HIPAA requirements in healthcare cybersecurity. He also took part in a NextGen Healthcare webinar on proactive healthcare cybersecurity, appearing alongside Stellarus senior vice president and CIO Eddie Borrero.

When NextGen Healthcare announced Doudian's appointment alongside two other executives, chief executive officer David Sides said, "Diane, Jake, and Garo will play pivotal roles in advancing our development of innovative and secure healthcare technology solutions."
