Olivia Brännlund is the Chief Information Security Officer of Outpost24, appointed in August 2025.

Career path

Brännlund joined Outpost24 in 2022 as a technical coordinator.

She was later promoted to technical architect responsible for the platform team, where she was a driving force behind security initiatives including designing the security architecture for the orchestration platform.

She went on to serve in various roles before becoming Deputy CISO.

Outpost24 promoted her from Deputy CISO to Chief Information Security Officer, an appointment announced the week of August 18, 2025.

Before joining Outpost24, Brännlund worked as a security architect at Ericsson, where she was responsible for security work within the 5G field.

Earlier in her career she was a security architect at telecommunications firm Qvantel, where she helped secure the Business Support Solution.

Outpost24's own leadership pages note her broad security experience at Qvantel and Ericsson alongside her technical depth.

Remit and recognition

As CISO, Brännlund leads Outpost24's security strategy.

Her contributions include designing the security architecture for the company's core platform.

In June 2026, The Hacker News named Brännlund Cybersecurity Woman of the Year at the 2026 Cybersecurity Stars Awards, an honor judged by an independent panel on innovation, impact, and contribution to the field.

"I am honored to be named Cybersecurity Woman of the Year, and I see it as recognition of the whole team I work alongside every day," Brännlund said.

Chief executive Ido Erlichman credited the recognition to her combination of technical knowledge, strategic judgement and business understanding.

Outpost24, where Brännlund works, is a global provider of cybersecurity solutions encompassing exposure management and identity and access management, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Sweden.
