Pamela McLeod is the Chief Information Security Officer of the State of New Hampshire, appointed in April 2026.

Career path

Before joining the state, McLeod worked as cybersecurity director for the City of Iowa.

Earlier in her career she spent nineteen years as an administrator in New Hampshire public schools, including ten years as director of technology in Alton's K-8 district before moving on to the Concord School District.

At Concord, she held the roles of director of technology and chief information security officer.

She was serving as director of technology when the Concord School District experienced a cybersecurity attack in 2016 that swept up employees' W-2 wage and tax forms, including names, addresses and Social Security numbers.

McLeod brings more than fifteen years of experience from the education sector, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She also chaired the Alton School Board.

McLeod founded the New Hampshire Chief Technology Officers' Council, on which she served as a board member, and founded the Student Privacy Alliance.

Public testimony

In August 2023, McLeod testified before the House Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight, part of the Committee on Homeland Security, in a hearing on federal collaboration to protect K-12 schools from cyberattacks.

Announcing her appointment as state CISO, New Hampshire Chief Information Officer Denis Goulet said, "Pam comes to us with significant public sector technology experience and has been a great leader and partner in NH's whole-of-state cybersecurity effort."

Current remit

As CISO, McLeod is listed as the contact for the Department of Information Technology's capital improvement project requests submitted to the state legislature, under Commissioner and Chief Information Officer Denis Goulet.
