Career path

Earlier in his career, Sah held technology and cybersecurity positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. He went on to serve as chief information security officer of a pediatric hospital system in Texas, and in that role he spoke at the HIMSS17 conference in February 2017 on building a cybersecurity program and the business case for one. Sah then became chief information security officer of the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2020 he moved to CommonSpirit Health as senior vice president, IT Strategy & Cyber, a position he held for about four years. At CommonSpirit, a system operating facilities in 24 states, Sah managed multiyear cyber plans, developed an information security office and led efforts to improve the organization's cybersecurity posture.
Becker's Hospital Review listed him as System Vice President, IT Strategy & Cyber and Chief Information Security Officer, speaking on Empowering Patient Care Through Digital Health and AI at its 14th Annual Meeting. Sah joined Novant Health as chief information security officer on June 24, 2024.
