Career path
Sullivan's most recent position before joining Concentric AI was SVP, Chief Information Security Officer at Magellan Health, where he led the cybersecurity, physical security, and data governance programs. Earlier in his career he served as Director, Information Security and Compliance (CISO) at Ingram Content Group, and as VP of Infrastructure at C&S Wholesale Grocers. He also held the roles of Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer at JT Investments. In May 2025, Concentric AI named him its new Chief Information Security and Strategy Officer, a role in which he leads the company's cybersecurity program and contributes to its strategy. By December 2025, reporting described him as SVP, CISO and Strategy Officer at Concentric AI, continuing in that function. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business – IT Management. He holds certifications including CISSP, CISM, CEH, and CHFI, and has experience with frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CMMC, GDPR, and HIPAA. He was recognized as a Top Global CISO by Cyber Defense Magazine in both 2023 and 2024, and has been involved with the HITRUST Health 3rd Party Trust Initiative.

At Concentric AI, Sullivan is focused on maintaining the company's security posture and on strengthening safeguards for sensitive information across complex digital ecosystems.
His leadership has spanned regulated industries including healthcare, financial services, automotive, retail, energy, and real estate, and he has served as an advisor to boards and executive teams, including during and after ransomware breaches.
On his appointment, he said, “I’m excited to lead our cybersecurity program and shape our strategy around data protection, insider threats, and responsible AI.”
He has written on CISO leadership in the piece Redefining the Role: My View of What Makes a CISO Great, published in August 2025.
In a Help Net Security video, he discussed what security leaders should consider during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
He also serves on multiple industry advisory boards and councils related to cybersecurity.
